Hello,

Since the interest range of this forum includes travelers, hikers, alpinists, etc., why don't we add a new sub-forum with the forum member photos to let people share their best photos? Many people travel. And I'm sure many people will support this idea and will start posting their own photos. It will also give us a better impression about different countries, states and cities. How that sounds?

Thanks,
Mason

Mason, thank you for this idea! Although the main purpose of this forum was not even close to the photos, and we have never discussed that, it's probably not a very bad idea, since we are inviting not only Podiatrists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, but also travelers, hikers, alpinists, geologists and "other people whose lives depend on feet". If people like this idea, then why not? People are aways interested to learn something new. And we can create a sub-forum where all forum members will be able to post their photos. We'll better know the geography of our members and, at the same time, we will be able to take a look at other countries, states, and cities. Google Picasa, Panoramio, Google Earth, and many others are good for that, but if these photos are posted by the people that we already know, that will be much more interesting for sure! We can ask these people to tell us more about their photos, and that will be a huge advantage. Although I'm honestly afraid that it will be a serious off-topic. We need to stay focused. And this addition will distract people from the main purpose of the forum. So, as a result, instead of getting advantage we can simply lose the forum. What do you think?

Let's discuss that all together and see if people support this new idea or not.

Mason, I concur with the Blogger that your idea is good, but it will distract the forum members from the main idea, plus it will make the forum traffic much heavier. It's not about the servers, they will survive for sure. But there are many photo forums where the photos can be posted and discussed. For example, there is a relatively new forum called Eye + Lens where you can upload your images and post your links here. You can find some of our MyFootTalk.com members on that forum too.

And please do not over flood this forum with the extra stuff like photos. Let's keep this forum as clean as possible.

Thanks for understanding!

Mason,

Couple more words. I remember that our forum friend and member Dr. Alex Hochstein wrote about Arizona. Here are a few links with Arizona photos located on another web forum Eyes + Lens.

I would also agree with you. it's better to keep this forum clean and sharp.
