A very interesting forum! But there are many videos, a lot of videos, and almost no conversations. Why? Should I post videos to take part in this forum?

Hi Dick and thank you for your words!

Video presentations are good since they can efficiently explain many things with no efforts. And there are a lot of interesting presentations that could be used on the forum. But do not forget, that the forum content depends on the participants, on you as well. :) You can comment any video, start any new topic, join any discussion, etc. There are only a few things inappropriate on the forum.

You can get the list in the FAQ. But, in a few words, if one is polite, respects other participants, doesn't post spam, dangerous links, viruses, a lot of advertisements with no valuable content, then it's fine. We are happy to have this person on the forum. If one doesn't follow these simple rules, his account will be suspended for a while. If it didn't help the account will be completely disabled, forever.

You can ask me how, anybody can create a new account. Not exactly. Once the spammer is caught, we add his IP address to the black list. That helps us to prevent new attacks. There are many bots browsing Internet. Every time when we get something interesting on the forum we get a few connections from Amazon Web Cloud users. The Amazon customers are using Cloud to register fake accounts on different forums to post spam. Once the account is registered, there are thousands postings appearing in just a few hours. But we have a very efficient and robust system to avoid there attacks. We also inform Amazon support about all these events to shut these bots on their side. You can read about that on our sub-forum called: "Computers & Software => Computer Security". The topic is called "Amazon - spiders, spammers or hackers?". The link can be found in the quick link list on the left side.

Happy Posting!

I am also agree that there is no much discussion on different topics and only videos are posted. The forum is for a discussions and not for video posting.

All these discussions, first of all, depend on people. And people should discuss different topics on the forum if they are interested.

We, as forum support, can provide different interesting publications, hot topics, announces, news, warnings, we can find something interesting and tell our readers about that, etc. We can start discussions, but we cannot keep these discussions running if no one is going to support them. Our resources are not endless. People mostly like to browse, to read, get the info and leave. But there are not so many people wishing to write. There are many different reasons for that. Some people simply cannot write. It's even hard to ask them to post info about their own practice or product! It looks strange because it's absolutely free for them! People pay money for ads, but they don't want to do that themselves for free even if we provide them a way to do that. Other people are trying to avoid any computer typing at any price. I know several people who would be happy to post a new topic but they are afraid of their own computers! They are so scared, that they often ask me to do that for them! Isn't that strange?

The number of the forum readers almost doubles every month. We got many people reading and watching our forum on a regular basis and that's a good sign. Videos are not very bad if they are very informative and presented by professionals, experts, and we're working hard to find the best of them, grouping all the related videos in one thread, one topic, so that all the related videos can be watched one by one if people want that. It is convenient for sure. We got many forum members receiving Daily Digests on a regular basis. At the same time we got many Twitter Subscribers receiving frequent updates delivered right to their mobile phones with mobile twitter clients. People visit our forum, people return back again and again, and that's good. It means that we're going to the right direction.

All people are welcome to join and start a new thread, a new topic, or continue the existing topic for sure. It could be a good idea to tell others about good or bad experience, share ideas, etc. We can do many things, but we cannot do that for you.

We are free to any suggestions. If you have a good idea to start a new sub-forum, a new discussion thread, a new topic, please do not hesitate to give us this idea or do it yourself if you can. As a forum member you can start a new thread and invite people to discuss the topics that you would like. Finally if you think that the forum is missing something, simply let us know and we will add that for you. That's the main advantage of the forums like this. We are very mobile and flexible, we are here to provide a very friendly environment to let people discuss things that they want, to find information that they need. And we all including our forum members will be happy if it works this way.

Just wanted to ask you one question. Did you take part in any discussion except this one? Out of my curiosity. Think
